With $10,000 Donation to Minnie’s Food Pantry
Dallas, TX – May 28, 2025 – On May 21, the Bank was thrilled to kick off their 10th anniversary 10 for 10 donation campaign with a $10,000 donation to Minnie’s Food Pantry. This donation will provide 30,000 meals to families in North Texas, supporting Minnie’s programs to help families gain long-term food security and access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
Headquartered in Plano, Dr. Cheryl Jackson founded Minnie’s Food Pantry in 2008 to honor her mother, Dr. Minnie Hawthorne-Ewing. Minnie’s Food Pantry now operates four locations in three states to provide healthy food for families and individuals in need. Minnie’s Food Pantry has provided over 15 million healthy meals to families in need and holds the platinum rating from Guide Star Charity evaluator.
“We are deeply honored and truly grateful for the generous $10,000 donation from our friends at Dallas Capital Bank in celebration of their 10-year anniversary,” comments Zoya Jackson, Chief Operating Officer for Minnie’s Food Pantry. “This incredible gift is more than just a financial contribution, it’s a powerful statement of compassion, community, and shared purpose. Because of their kindness, thousands of meals will now reach the tables of families facing food insecurity
bringing hope, dignity, and relief when it’s needed most. At Minnie’s Food Pantry, we believe that partnerships like this are what truly change the world. We are thankful that Dallas Capital Bank chose to mark this milestone by investing in the lives of others. Their impact will be felt far beyond today, and we are so grateful to walk alongside them in the fight against hunger.”
In celebration of its 10th anniversary, Dallas Capital Bank will donate a total of $100,000 to ten worthy local charities, celebrating and honoring their impact on the North Texas community. The commitment encompasses a broad spectrum of community needs, ranging from fostering financial literacy and ensuring housing stability, to addressing food insecurity and promoting educational opportunities.
“We are excited to provide this donation to further the great work of Cheryl and the team at Minnie’s,” said Doug Hutt, Chairman and CEO of Dallas Capital Bank. “Minnie’s is a shining example of the altruistic spirit of North Texas, and we are proud to join in their efforts to help families across the region.”
The remaining nine donations will be announced in the coming months to support worthy organizations spanning from Denton County to South Dallas. From combatting homelessness, hunger, and domestic violence, to providing educational resources for adults and children, their collective work addresses many issues affecting our communities. Dallas Capital Bank is proud to support these organizations in celebration of its 10-year anniversary.
